Case Study - Replacement roof and frontage

We see many of these areas unused and having seen better days. The provision of space is so important today, and this customer wanted to maximise this outside area with a new Lean-To roof between the properties, and a frontage consisting of a stable door with side screen.

The roof was packed off the wall to take in to account for the pipes that can be seen to the rear. New leadwork replaced the old leaking seal and an area was created that can be used and enjoyed for many years to come. The stable door gives the flexibility of having just the top half open for ventilation if required.

The side frame between the two houses was replaced with an angled frame to ensure a perfect fit between the wall and the roof. It was glazed with obscure glass for privacy. The roof was glazed with 25mm multi-wall polycarbonate.
